Molly-Mae Hague has defended herself following the backlash she received for suggesting anyone can be a millionaire if they simply work hard enough.
The Love Island star made the controversial comments on the podcast The Diary of a CEO in a chat with Dragons' Den's Steven Bartlett in December last year.
Clips from the interview have resurfaced and Molly-Mae has been inundated with criticism for her "tone-deaf" remarks.The criticism even saw her Wikipedia page tampered with by someone who compared her to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
The ex-Love Island star's representatives said in a statement to Metro : "Molly did a podcast interview in December about her own rise to success. "If you listen to the full conversation and interview Molly was asked about how the nature of her potential grows and how she believes in herself.
