The 27-year-old Southampton forward was man of the match in Norway’s 2-0 victory over Montenegro — scoring both goals in front of a host of scouts.
And that was after scoring four goals and chipping in with two assists in six games for his club side.Elyounoussi joined Southampton from Basel in 2018 for £16million but failed to live up to his billing.
He was then sent out on loan to Celtic for two seasons, where he scored 24 goals and wracked up 12 assists in 67 games for the Glasgow giants.
