Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Al Fayed has died aged 94.The former owner of Harrods has died 26 years to the day after his son Dodi Fayed was killed in a car crash alongside Princess Diana in 1997.
Sources told the MailOnline that Al-Fayed died on Thursday night, and that Janazah (funeral) prayers were held at the mosque on Friday.
He was buried after Friday prayers following a service at Regent’s Park Mosque in London, according to reports from Al Jazeera Egypt.
Al Shorouk newspaper reported that Ashraf Haider, a member of his family, wrote: "My wife’s grandfather, the Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed, has died.
