MND sufferer thanks Hamilton schoolboys for their charity climb up Tinto Hill

climbed Tinto Hill near Biggar to raise funds for MND Scotland, and in particular to help pay for David’s monthly treatment and therapies in a bid to prolong his life.

The boys – Louis O’Hagan, who is David’s cousin, Aiden McQuade, Lauchlan Greenan, Aidan O’Hara, Declan Campbell and Flynn McGuire – raised over £1170 to be split between David’s ‘Balmer Battles MND’ GoFundMe and mental health charity We Are With You.And dad-of-five David was delighted with the boys’ efforts and donation and sent them a video message of thanks.In the video he says: “I’d like to say thank you to my young cousin Louis O’Hagan and his friends who climbed Tinto.“It’s not easy and they very kindly donated nearly £600 to my charity.
