Missing Lanarkshire pensioner's car found outside coastal Ayrshire village at A77 layby

The car of a pensioner missing from Lanarkshire has been found on the South Ayrshire coast. Sheena Gary was reported missing almost seven days ago from Gartcosh in North Lanarkshire.

Her car, a silver Kia Picanto, was spotted yesterday parked at an A77 layby outside the village of Lendalfoot near Girvan.Specialist search officers and coastguard have been called in to the area to conduct searches.Air support was used this week as officers combed the beach and a nearby landfill.
