Millions of Brits will receive a cash boost from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) next week in the form of the first cost of living payment.

According to the DWP, the first payment will be handed out from Tuesday, April 25 and will continue to be rolled out until May 17.

This first payment will initially be handed out to those who receive their benefits from the DWP, while Tax Credits claimants will receive their first payment from HMRC at a slightly later date.

This will be the first payment among three which will be rolled out throughout 2023/24, with additional payments of £299 and £300 to be issued in due time.
