Millions of pensioners across the UK will soon get a letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) about vital energy assistance worth £150.
Set to make a comeback for the winter season of 2023/24, the Warm Home Discount scheme will give those who qualify a discount of £150 on their electricity bills.
Recipients can expect to receive their letters from the DWP starting this October, with allowances to be made until the end of March next year.
Rather than a cash being paid into bank accounts, the subsidy will instead be applied as a discount on your energy account balances, or as a top-up voucher for prepayment meter consumers.
