mirror.co.ukA multi-millionaire Tory donor is pushing US-style caravan parks as a solution to Britain’s social housing crisis. The biggest park home operator in Europe has teamed up with a city investment firm which wants to raise £105m to buy thousands of static caravans for people on social housing waiting lists around the UK.
Investors are told by Concept Capital Group they will earn 10% “guaranteed rental income” a year if they invest £40,000 in a caravan “without the hassle of finding and managing tenants”.
Concept’s commercial partners are Social Park Housing Ltd, run by Britain’s biggest park home tycoon Alfie Best, who has donated £10,000 to the Tories through another of his firms.
