Millie Mackintosh proves money-piece highlights are a top summer hair trend

But it's gained in popularity even more since then, with a whole host of A-listers hopping on the look in time for summer. The latest celeb is former Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh , who showed off her new ultra blonde front sections on Instagram on Thursday, 18 May, as she celebrated the launch of her new fashion collection with brand Friends Like These.
In the celebratory video, Millie can be seen with her usual dark blonde waves, but her front sections had been noticeably lightened in two solid chunks on either side of her face.
The trend is typically best suited to those who have a middle parting, like Millie, as it allows an even section on each side to be bleached and lightened.
