Mike Colter is dishing on the possibility of returning to Marvel. The 48-year-old actor previously starred as Luke Cage, aka Power Man, in a two-season Netflix series, as well as on the streamers Jessica Jones and the mini-series The Defenders.
While the characters from the Netflix shows weren’t officially part of the MCU’s interconnected universe, minus Vincent D’Onofrio‘s Kingpin who made his debut in Hawkeye and Echo.
Now, Vincent will be back again, along with Charlie Cox‘s Daredevil with a new Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again.
With the resurgence of some of those characters, Mike recently opened up about possibly reprising his role. Keep reading to find out more… “At this point, I could see myself revisiting Luke Cage because there’s been enough time and I’ve done enough things where I feel like, ‘Okay, that doesn’t feel repetitive,’” he shared on SiriusXM’s The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw. “There could be another journey, another chapter for that character, but with the Disney of it all, what their direction in terms of those characters, I think Luke and Jessica had some social commentary and I don’t know if they’re up for that ’cause that’s what made us, our series, unique.” “There’s a little bit of social commentary there.
