Michelle Yeoh Reveals the Reason Quentin Tarantino Said He Couldn't Cast Her in 'Kill Bill'

Michelle Yeoh is reflecting on Quentin Tarantino‘s impact on her life. The 62-year-old Wicked actress revealed how the Pulp Fiction director snapped her out of a depression about her action movie career prospects years ago during an interview on The Graham Norton Show.

During the appearance, she shared the story about when she considered stepping beck from action movies. “I was in Hong Kong and depressed as I had had a bad accident while filming a stunt,” she said. Keep reading to find out more… “I felt hopeless and was re-thinking the whole action thing and thought maybe I should take a step back,” she explained. “When I met [Tarantino], he was so enthusiastic and said that if you love something you have to find a better way to do it.” Her action film career would continue in films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Memoirs of a Geisha, Sunshine and Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy.
