Scots businesswoman Michelle Mone and her entrepreneur husband Doug Barrowman have sold their £19million London townhouse despite it previously appearing on a list of frozen assets.
The six-bedroom Belgravia property was bought in 2015 for £11million by two companies registered in the British Virgin Islands, according to Land Registry records.
It had been included on a £75million list of assets to be confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act (NCA) if the couple are prosecuted as part of the Covid PPE scandal.
The pair are being investigated for their role in PPE deals for face masks and gowns worth more than £200million during the pandemic.But the Mirror reports that the townhouse has been sold after being dropped from the list of ring-fenced assets, along with a £6.8million yacht known as the Lady M.Baroness Mone has previously complained that she was being treated like Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
