A rep for the toy maker confirmed Mendelovitz’s departure, declining further comment. According to sources, the role will be backfilled.
Mendelovitz joined Mattel in late 2023 on the heels of the blockbuster success of the company’s Warner Bros. movie Barbie. In her role, she oversaw Mattel’s slate of episodic content for broadcast and streaming.
One of the projects she was involved in is the new Barney the Dinosaur animated series for Max and Cartoon Network, which was announced in May.
