Michaela Strachan will miss reuniting with co-host Chris Packham on Autumnwatch next week – as she goes to meet “cute baby seals”.
The BBC presenter, 54, has returned from her home in South Africa to front the extended two-week series which begins next Tuesday, after missing this year’s Springwatch as she was unable to fly in during lockdown.
She said: “It was extremely frustrating because it’s not just a job for us – we absolutely live and breathe it.” Bosses found the socially-distanced version of the show worked so well during lockdown that they will keep the two pals apart.
