Michael Beale says he will pick up the work of Ross Wilson's sporting director role in the immediate aftermath of the latter's Rangers exit.
The 39-year-old is moving back to England with English Premier League side Nottingham Forest, having previously had stints at Southampton and Watford.
He moved to Ibrox in 2019 and while his reign has included two record sales, a Premiership title and a run to the Europa League final, Wilson has been with fan protests this year amid his transfer recruitment work coming under scrutiny.Beale has plenty of time for his now former colleague but with the support of new chairman John Bennett and managing director Stewart Robertson, he will be the one who fills his void for now.
He told Rangers TV ahead of facing St Mirren on Saturday: "He’s a person who I spoke to the most out of anyone at Rangers, and he was between me and the board.
