Michael Beale insists what Rangers lacked in quality they made up for in guts as they staged a remarkable late, late show at Pittodrie to make it back to back wins in the new Ibrox gaffer’s first two games in charge.Super sub Scott Arfield struck an unbelievable injury time double as the Light Blues came from behind to take all three points and leave Aberdeen gutted after they were on the brink of a first home win over Rangers for six years.But Beale, who saw his side lose an early lead through Fashion Sakala overturned by goals from Luis ‘Duk’ Lopes and Leighton Clarkson, says there is still plenty of work to be done despite his delighted at two wins in the dug-out.

The former QPR boss, who has now won his first two games 3-2 after a similar five-goal thriller against Hibs, told Sky Sports: “I’m delighted with the result obviously.

It was probably 10/10 for character and mentality and 5/10 for performance.“The six goals in two games is certainly good but the four against we need to work on.

In patches we did things well but overall we’re still fragmented in the performance and it's along way for us to go to get where I want us to get to but so far two games, six points I won’t beat them over the head with it but I just have to make them aware we have some work to do.“It will come with games and confidence.
