The Met Office has a mixed forecast for the next few days - but says parts of the UK could reach 33C. While Thursday (June 22) will see sustained dry and settled conditions, some parts of central and Eastern England could be subjected to thunderstorms throughout the afternoon.
As a result, a yellow warning for thunderstorms has been issued for affected areas from 1pm to 8pm today. Some areas covered by the warning could be hit by 20mm of rain in less than an hour.

Join our WhatsApp Top Stories and Breaking News group by clicking this link On Friday, the Met Office forecasts Scotland, Northern Ireland, northwest England, and parts of northern Wales as being hit by rainfall, with Scotland and Northern Ireland experiencing the heaviest rain.
This trend will continue throughout the weekend. At the same time, southern, central, and eastern England will see a build up in temperature, reaching as high as 30C and 33C in some parts.
