The Met Office has declared this year an official white Christmas after snow fell in parts of the UK.. The Met Office recorded snow, sleet, and rain across parts of Scotland, with Tulloch Bridge and Aviemore seeing flakes fall.
It said that Monday officially marks a white Christmas which is defined by a single snowflake falling on Christmas Day, instead of the blankets of snow we often expect.

At Exeter Airport and East Malling, Kent, temperatures have not fallen below 12.4C, beating the previous record of 11.5C measured at Waddon in Croydon in 1983.
