A special memorial service held in honour of Queen Elizabeth II following her death has left viewers around the world in tears as mourners gathered to sing the new national anthem for the first time.
The 96 year old monarch passed away peacefully at Balmoral on Thursday, sending messages of tribute flooding in from across the globe as they paid tribute to the historic monarch.
At a special memorial service held on Friday, just one day on from the announcement of her death, mourners gathered at St.Paul’s Cathedral to pay tribute to the life and legacy of the iconic royal.
Some 2,000 members of the public attended the 6pm service after securing a limited selection of wristbands, along with Prime Minister Liz Truss, while millions of others tuned in to a live broadcast of the service that touched the hearts of so many.
