Meghan Markle "hated every second" of her tour of Australia with Prince Harry, a royal author has claimed. The then-newlywedded couple were following in the footsteps of Charles and Diana as they received an enthusiastic welcome from the Australian public, with the pair even announcing they were expecting their first child, Archie, while on the tour.

In the book, Brown was told by a palace staffer: "She didn’t understand why things were set up in that way. Instead of being excited when thousands of people showed up at the opera house, it was very much like, ‘What’s the purpose?

I don’t understand this.'
