Meghan Markle and King Charles 'could have been close' as he made 'genuine' gesture

King Charles displayed 'support' for Meghan Markle, attempting to welcomed her into the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.

Though Meghan's relationship with 'the Firm' has taken a frosty turn, one particular expert believes King Charles' efforts could have potentially resulted in a warmer situation.Upon initiating her relationship with Prince Harry, The Duchess of Sussex became part of The Firm and was involved in various Royal commits before the couple sent shock waves internationally by resigning as senior working royals in 2020.Relations between Harry, Meghan and the rest of the famly have been highly tense since.

Yet, according to relationship expert Louella Alderson, there was scope for events to take a different turn. Louella spoke to the Mirror, outlining that Meghan's wedding to Harry held the potential to transform everything.

Charles filled in for Thomas Markle, Meghan's father, who declared he wouldn't be attending the special day.Louella said: "There were some moments that showed the potential for a close family relationship between Meghan and the Royals.
