Meghan Markle and Prince Harry selected Valentine's Day to announce they are expecting a new baby as they "liked the idea" it was a day to celebrate love, it is reported.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that Archie will soon have a younger brother or sister with a black-and-white photo showing off Meghan's bump.

The timing drew attention as a possible nod to Harry's late mother, Princess Diana. She and Charles, the Prince of Wales, announced that they were expecting Harry 37 years ago almost to the day, with the news dominating front pages on February 14, 1984.

But the the timing was nothing more than a “lovely coincidence”, according to The Telegraph, but it is likely to be one that brought a smile to the Duke.
