Meghan Markle has opened up on finding community and new friends in California after her and Prince Harry moved to Montecito from the UK.The Duchess of Sussex, 41, gave a tell-all interview to American magazine The Cut and has spoken about her new life with Prince Harry and their two children - Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.
The interview takes readers on a tour through the couple's extravagant house in the exclusive neighbourhood and sees them give an insight into their lives after they stepped down from royal duties in 2020.
In the interview, Meghan speaks about the local community and adds that her mother, social worker Doria Ragland, often pops over for Grandma duty.
And when asked whether her husband Harry "feels isolated" without any family nearby, the former Suit actress responded: "Well, look, we’re both building community." “I didn’t have friends up here.” Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan says she has made an "active effort to forgive" the Royal Family after distance was created between them following the couple's move.
