Follow OK! on Threads here: https://www.threads.net/@ok_mag Meg Mathews has been banned from driving after she was found to be more than twice the legal limit with alcohol after crashing her car.The music PR and 90s Britpop figure, who was married to Noel Gallagher during Oasis's heyday, had been on her way home following a book signing.The 57 year old star appeared before Cornwall Magistrates’ Court in Bodmin on Friday, July 28, following the incident in Newquay earlier this month.The court heard the former music PR executive had a “couple of drinks” at a book launch on the evening of July 7 and after the event planned to stay at a friend’s house nearby.The friend wanted to see Meg's swanky new Jeep Wrangler 4x4, so she took them for a drive, but it wasn't long before the star collided with a parked car in Stret Ewyn, Nansledan.

Meg failed a roadside breathaliser test and was arrested. Magistrates were told her reading was 77mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath – with the legal limit being 35mg.

Appearing in court via a video link, Meg, who is now based in Newquay, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the limit.
