The last 12 months haven’t exactly been easy, with headlines dominated by bad news. But some of our favourite stars have made sure they’ve been there to raise a few smiles.

In Sir Captain Tom Moore’s case it was an extra 100 laps around his garden, but others, like Marcus Rashford with his campaigns for free school meals, also did their bit to ensure the nation stayed positive during a pandemic that practically brought the country to a standstill.
