Now, the participants have now officially been announced and it’s been confirmed the journey will take the celebs from Africa to the Arctic.The famous faces who will go-head-to head on the race of their lives are, Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford and his dad, Noel; singer Mel Blatt and her mum, Helene; McFly drummer Harry Judd and his mum, Emma and British Racing Driver and pundit Billy Monger and his sister, Bonny.
In this new version of the much-loved series, the celebrities and their partners will begin their journey in Marrakech, Morocco and race to a finish line thousands of miles away.
On joining the show, Alex says, “I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to do something that we've never done before. Neither of us have ever backpacked, so it's a new experience. “And, also, just to see some amazing places!
