McFly were 'broken' and needed therapy during their three-year long hiatus, according to their drummer Harry Judd. The band spent two years as the super group McBusted from 2013 before going on a break in 2016.
Their plans to reunite in 2017 were thwarted by inter-band tensions, but earlier this month the group signed a new record deal and they're planning on releasing an album later this year.
Judd, 34, said his relationship with bandmates Dougie Poynter, Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher was "complicated". He told The Sun: "We have all been through a lot individually in the past four years.
