McDonald's worker thought man's watch was familiar - later found out he'd been burgled

A McDonald's worker served a customer who was wearing a cap and watch which he recognised - because he had just stolen them from his home.

Jake White thought it was just a strange coincidence that Ross Renforth was sporting an Adidas cap and a Swatch watch just like his.

In fact Renforth had just broken into his home and taken them and the only coincidence was he then went to the restaurant where his victim happened to be working.

It was only when the worker returned to his home in Alnwick, Northumberland, that he realised it had been entered, searched and his belongings had been stolen.
