Maya Hawke has discussed her experience of dyslexia and its impact on her education.Speaking in her latest interview, the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke said it took her a ‘really long time’ to learn to read and her abilities are still ‘limited.’The star told NPR: ‘I wouldn’t say [I suffer from dyslexia].
I would say it is, like, one of the great blessings of my life in a lot of ways.’The 22-year-old – who has spent the weekend at the Venice Film Festival promoting her new movie Mainstream – continued: ‘But I did get, like, kicked out of school for not being able to read when I was a kid. ‘And I went to a special school for kids with learning disabilities.
