Jem Aswad Executive Editor, Music Maxie Solters, a publicist, writer, actor and producer well-known to the entertainment community, died unexpectedly on Thursday.
No cause of death was announced; she was 37. Born in 1987 and raised in Sherman Oaks, California, Solters graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Theatre.
Following graduation, she began a career in film and television casting while also serving as a coordinator for One Billion Rising, a nonprofit seeking to help end violence against women and others subject to gender-based violence.
She appeared in numerous productions and created, produced and starred in her own comedy web series. In 2012, she became the third of her family’s generation to enter public relations, following her father, Larry, and late grandfather, Lee.
