Joe Otterson TV Reporter Max‘s upcoming medical procedural “The Pitt” has added nine new actors to its cast, Variety has learned.
The new cast members will star alongside previously announced series lead Noah Wyle as the “frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh,” per the official logline.
Max has given a 15-episode order to the series. The new series regulars are: Tracy Ifeachor (“Treason,” “Showtrial”), Patrick Ball (“Law & Order,” “The XIXth”), Supriya Ganesh (“Grown-ish,” “Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game”), Fiona Dourif (“Child’s Play” franchise, “The Blacklist”), Taylor Dearden (“American Vandal,” “Sweet/Vicious”), Isa Briones (“Star Trek: Picard,” “Goosebumps”), Gerran Howell (“Suspicion,” “Catch-22”), Shabana Azeez (“In Limbo,” “Birdeaters”), and Katherine LaNasa (“The Campaign,” “Truth Be Told”).
R. Scott Gemmill will write the first episode and executive produce the series alongside Wyle, Emmy® John Wells of John Wells Productions (JWP) and JWP’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan, and Michael Hissrich.
