Matthew Perry’s Los Angeles home, where the Friends actor died in 2023, has survived the wildfires raging through the city. The current owner of the Pacific Palisades home has revealed on Instagram that the house is “okay”.Starting last Tuesday, the LA Wildfires have resulted in 24 deaths so far, with over 100,000 people evacuated from their homes.

Strong winds have meant firefighters have struggled to prevent the blaze from spreading, with three fires still burning. The fire in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood, one of the biggest to emerge, has burned through more than 23,000 acres. In the post, producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian wrote: “My heart is absolutely broken over the devastating fires in the Palisades… It’s hard to put into words how devastated we feel.

It’s been such a tough week, but we are incredibly thankful to have learned that our house is okay. We want to express our deepest gratitude to the brave firefighters, our amazing neighbours, and the entire Palisades community for their help”.Perry died on October 28 2023 at his former home, aged 54.

An autopsy revealed he died from the acute effects of Ketamine, subsequently drowning in the pool in his property. Tributes poured in from fans and collaborators, with Lisa Kudrow recently revealing she recently found a note the actor gave her back in 2004.Other Friends castmates have also shared how the death has affected them, with Courtney Cox saying she still talks to Perry daily, and Jennifer Aniston being brought to tears after a question about his passing.Other Hollywood names have not been so fortunate during the wildfires.
