Matt Rife is going to be touring the world for the next year and a half and the amount of shows he has on his schedule is absolutely crazy!
The 27-year-old comedian is currently traveling the world on his ProbleMATTic World Tour and he’s opening up about the importance of staying fit while on the road. “I realized how much of a release [working out] is for your mental health more than even your physical,” Matt told Men’s Health. “So it became quickly addicting.
Then you after you see the physical results it becomes even more addicting, and you go okay, how hard can I really push this thing?” Matt is used to playing small venues and now has moved up in the world to perform on large stages, which means he’s pacing back and forth like never before. Keep reading to find out more… “The fitness aspect has been such an important part in touring, not just for the performance stamina, but for my mental health as well,” he said. “I’m busy 23 hours a day.
I sleep terribly. So, that one hour a day at the gym is my hour of the day to focus on my body and make myself happier.” Matt told Men’s Health that his favorite exercises include alternating incline press, pullup, Zottman-to-Reverse-Zottman curl, Russian twist with med ball, loaded plank, plank mountain climbers, and Bulgarian split squat.
