Matt Damon became the adopted son of Ireland last year when he spent months filming his new movie, The Last Duel, here in Ireland, and even when lockdown hit, he decided not to leave, but instead, hang out around Dalkey.
Not only was the Hollywood A-lister spotted around the local coffee shops and restaurants, but he even made time to go for a dip, which resulted in the iconic Supervalu bag photo.
It looks as though Matt can’t get enough of the South Dublin town as it has been announced that he will be making a homecoming guest appearance at this year’s Dalkey Book Festival.
On Sunday, 20 June, the actor will speak to David McWilliams about his time spent in Ireland and the fairytale Dalkey village.
