Brentford goalscorer Mathias Jensen explained how his team made a point of closing down Christian Eriksen in his club’s 4-0 win over Manchester United.
The Dane, who was featuring against the club he played for last season, was kept quiet by his ex-teammates as the Bees dismantled United.
Eriksen played in a deeper role alongside Fred in midfield during the game. He operated the role on a number of occasions for Brentford but struggled in the position during the defeat on Saturday and was robbed of the ball by Jenson before he slammed home the second goal.
Prior to the game, his former boss, Thomas Frank, told Sky Sports that keeping tabs on Eriksen would be key throughout the 90 minutes.
