Brits should brace themselves for another Arctic blast next week, with a 400-mile wall of snow and temperatures plummeting to -5C.

After enjoying milder conditions due to southwesterly air bringing clouds and rain, the UK is set to see a return to frost and ice by Monday.

A weather map from WX Charts indicates a large area of the UK will be blanketed in purple on Tuesday afternoon as snow descends.

Snow flurries are expected from the north of Scotland down to south of Manchester, and possibly reaching the Midlands. As Arctic air moves southwards on Monday and collides with rain clouds from the Atlantic, snowfall is anticipated, along with plenty of showers in the southeast and central England on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
