Scotland's biggest Designer Rooms is set to open this summer in Kilmarnock. The popular houseware brand plans to transform the town's beleaguered Poundstretchers unit when it closes at the end of March.
The move means the existing Designer Rooms on Campbell Street will close and the Irvine branch on Ayr Road will also be axed.
A jaw-dropping visual shows the huge makeover the store will undergo with bosses saying the shop will " truly revolutionise this side of Kilmarnock town centre".
Design chiefs say the 36,000 sq ft store will boast a private car park with 80 spaces available.A spokesperson said: "As a local family-run business, The Designer Rooms team is very excited to begin this project, using all local contractors and tradesmen, with an idea of ‘Ayrshire supporting Ayrshire’.
