The 33-year-old ended the season as the club's top scorer with 19 goals as the Whites sealed automatic promotion back to League One.
And they did it in style with a 4-1 victory on the road against Crawley Town, with Doyle getting the third of those. It means Doyle has been promoted out of League Two for two campaigns in succession, having done so last year with previous club Swindon Town where he ended the curtailed season as the division's top scorer.
