Manchester United attacking midfielder Mason Mount was all smiles as he made his return to Carrington on Monday morning. Mount joined United in 2023 after completing a £50m transfer from Chelsea that summer.
The end of his time at Stamford Bridge was far from ideal, but there was hope that Erik ten Hag could find the best in the Englishman at Old Trafford.
However, a couple of injuries, including a serious one to his calf, caused him to play just 20 matches for United in his debut campaign.
Fortunately, he was able to return before the end of the 2023/24 season, and he made a brief cameo as the Reds won the FA Cup against Manchester City.
