Mason Greenwood has reportedly been given the go-ahead to sign for Juventus - five years on from their first "life-changing" attempt to buy him from Manchester United.
The 22-year-old forward spent last season on loan at La Liga side Getafe following an internal investigation at United that concluded it would be best for all parties if he continued his career elsewhere.
He hasn't played for United since his arrest in January 2022 on charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control. Those were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service 13 months later, allowing Greenwood to return to professional football in Spain.
His performances there, with 10 goals and six assists across 36 games in all competitions, attracted significant transfer attention from around Europe.
