Marvel fans are urging studio bosses not to recast Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther 2. Chadwick, who died age 43 on Friday following a secret battle against colon cancer, is best known for playing the lead role in Marvel's Black Panther film franchise.

After joining Marvel in 2014, Chadwick starred in the first Black Panther film in 2018 and had been set to appear in the sequel which is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.

Chadwick's death leaves Marvel having to decide if the film goes ahead and if another actor should be cast in the lead role.

But many of the actor's fans have took to Twitter to demand that the film doesn't go ahead without Chadwick. One wrote: "You guys better not continue Black Panther 2 or recast it.
