Martine McCutcheon has shared that she’d been discussing her late brother’s wedding with him soon before his passing, and the Love Actually star had been asked to be a bridesmaid.

Martine, 46, announced the devastating news of her brother Laurence John (LJ)’s passing yesterday, 11 October, and said that there was “no medical explanation” for his untimely death aged 31. “My heart is forever broken…" she began the devastating Instagram post. "My baby brother, my gentle giant, sadly passed away, suddenly, 2 weeks ago.

He was 31 years old. There is no medical explanation as to why we lost him so soon and whilst we investigate further, we are having to accept that nothing will bring our boy back to us. [broken heart emoji].” Martine went on to reveal that LJ, who had a “mild form of special needs”, was due to get married next month and that their pair had discussed his upcoming nuptials before his passing. "LJ fell in love and was due to get married next month…" she wrote with a pink heart emoji. "I was asked to be bridesmaid and the last time I saw him, was a few days before he passed.

He, jack and his future stepson had been to try on their wedding suits and then they came back to have dinner with his fiancée and the family to see our new home.” LJ was set to marry his fiancée Jay Eaton, 49, who shared images with her husband-to-be in August as they enjoyed a date night together.
