When Martin Murray returns to his corner after the first round tonight it will be to listen to the advice of Jamie Moore. But the two men will undoubtedly feel the presence of a third, the late Oliver Harrison, Murray's erstwhile trainer who passed away last year.
You would do well to find a deeper bond in boxing than the one between Murray and Harrison who guided his charge to four world title fights only to fall short on each occasion.
Murray can rightly claim to have beaten Felix Sturm in Germany and Sergio Martinez in Argentina before losing to Gennady Golovkin and Arthur Abraham.
The odds will be stacked against him again tonight when he takes on Billy Joe Saunders behind closed doors at Wembley Arena.
