The Money Saving Expert (MSE) has criticised Ikea's revamped loyalty club for one unexpected reason. Ikea overhauled its membership scheme earlier this week.
While its Family Loyalty Club members have enjoyed a range of benefits for many years, including discounts and complimentary hot drinks in-store, these perks have been elevated.
Now, members can earn points for every purchase made in-store and online. Not only can you earn one point for every £5 spent, but you can also accumulate these by logging into your account, saving online wish lists and even scheduling planning appointments in store.
However, Martin Lewis' MSE newsletter was not 'that impressed' with the new reward offerings, suggesting that you'd need to make substantial purchases for it to be worthwhile.
