It will come as a shock to absolutely no one that Married At First Sight relationships end in disaster. Unsurprisingly, none of the ten marriages from the Channel 4 show have lasted more than a year.

For those couples that do actually make it down the aisle, after a few weeks of bliss it usually all comes crashing down. Most split just weeks after their legally binding ceremonies, so it's a good job that producers put aside money to pay for their divorces.

But this doesn't deter singletons from wanting to get involved, with record numbers of applications each year. There are a lot of varying reasons why marriages have broken down on the show, from cheating allegations to bad bedroom antics.
