Having added £80k, the team wanted to make sure they had the best opportunity of beating The Beast in the final. They urged the fourth contestant Kevin Eldon to take the £1000 offer in order to head back home.
It proved to be a good strategy as Kevin beat Mark and brought the total charity funds up to £81k. And with four of the celebrities in the final, the contestants got a four-step advantage.
