Mark Fotheringham is set for a baptism of fire at Hertha Berlin this weekend - as manager Felix Magath has tested positive for Covid-19.
The Scottish No. 2, who had spells at Ross County, Livingston and Dundee United as a player, is set to take charge of the Bundesliga strugglers for their weekend clash with Hoffenheim.
Experienced Magath was only appointed earlier this week, as he looks to keep the capital club in the top-flight.Magath moved to bring in Fotheringham as his No.
2 and now he will be thrown into the firing line in the Olympic Stadium on Saturday against Hoffenheim.Fotheringham had previously coached in Germany at Karlsruher and Ingolstadt under Tomas Oral.He is now set to take Hertha for the first time while also getting guidance from Magath on the telephone.
