Maria's heart logo captures the essence of Lanarkshire's mental health services for young people

A student’s heart-shaped design has been chosen as the new logo for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Lanarkshire.The service worked closely with art and design students at New College Lanarkshire in Cumbernauld to come up a new, vibrant and engaging logo.Following an extensive four-month research and design process, eight designs were shortlisted as part of a competition and the winner chosen following a vote by patients, parents, and the public.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

I researched the colours I wanted to use as they all represent positive emotions such as strength, positivity and love. Then I came up with four or five initial designs, before choosing one to submit.“It feels unbelievable to be chosen as the winning design and it’s nice that it’s going to be used as the logo for such a worthwhile
