Aberdeen social media sleuths have been placed on notice after reported target Marcus Younis followed them on Instagram.Dons boss Jimmy Thelin is still looking to add to his squad ahead of the August 30 deadline, and various outlets Down Under claim that Western Sydney Wanderers winger Marcus Younis is on their radar.

The 19-year-old has made 11 first team appearances in the A-League, scoring once, but has caught the eye for the Wanderers youth team in the second division, registering 13 goals and 10 assists in 40 matches.Reports in the Netherlands also suggest that several clubs around Europe - most notably PSV Eindhoven - are also tracking the right-winger who is under contract at the Western Sydney Stadium until the summer of 2025.

Swede Thelin may be keen to bolster his options in the wide areas, with Shayden Morris the only natural right-sided winger he currently has at his disposal. As exclusively revealed by Record Sport last week, Aberdeen are also exploring the possibility of a loan deal for Millwall striker Kevin Nisbet.

The Scotland international has been hampered with injury since swapping Hibs for south east London in a £2million deal 12 months ago, and Thelin wants him to help fill the void left by talisman Bojan Miovski's big-money move to La Liga side Girona.Follow Record Sport on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond. You can also follow our dedicated Rangers and Celtic podcast pages and sign up to our newsletters to make sure you never miss a beat throughout the season.
