Amir Khan sparked a debate on social media after he posted about having a waxwork figure made of himself at Madame Tussauds in London.
The boxer asked fans whether it would be right given his Islamic faith. He recalled how in 2010 he was invited to have the wax figure created but his friend Sajeed, who was working for his management company at the time, advised him against it.
Taking to social media site X, the 37-year-old from Bolton said: “I have a question for you. In 2010, I was invited to have a wax figure created of myself at Madame Tussauds in London. “However, my friend Sajeed, who was working for my management company at the time, turned down the opportunity.
He mentioned that, as Muslims, we should not create a duplicate representation of ourselves. READ MORE: Greater Manchester curry house loved by Amir Khan wins prestigious award “Is there any validity to this belief, or was he simply being negative?
